Carpet Cleaning Pimlico Terms and Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaning Pimlico provides professional carpet and related cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. By placing a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which form a contract between you and Carpet Cleaning Pimlico for the supply of cleaning services within the United Kingdom.

Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Customer means any individual, company or organisation requesting services from Carpet Cleaning Pimlico.

Services means carpet cleaning and any additional or related cleaning services offered by Carpet Cleaning Pimlico from time to time, including but not limited to rug cleaning, upholstery cleaning, stain removal and end of tenancy carpet cleaning.

Premises means the property or location at which the Services are to be carried out.

Technician means an employee, contractor or representative of Carpet Cleaning Pimlico assigned to perform the Services.

Scope of Services

Carpet Cleaning Pimlico provides professional carpet and associated cleaning services in and around the Pimlico area and other nearby locations as agreed at the time of booking. The precise scope of the Services, including the specific areas to be cleaned, type of cleaning method, and any special treatments, will be agreed with the Customer during the booking process.

Unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing, the Services do not include structural repairs, pest control, building maintenance, or any tasks that fall outside the normal scope of professional carpet and soft furnishing cleaning.

Booking Process

Bookings for Services may be requested by the Customer through the methods of contact made available by Carpet Cleaning Pimlico. A booking is considered an offer by the Customer to purchase Services under these Terms and Conditions. Carpet Cleaning Pimlico reserves the right to accept or decline any booking request.

A booking will be treated as confirmed only once Carpet Cleaning Pimlico has provided explicit confirmation to the Customer, which may be verbal or written. Any indicative quotes provided before confirmation are estimates only and may be subject to revision following inspection of the Premises or more detailed information from the Customer.

At the time of booking, the Customer must provide accurate information, including the address of the Premises, type and approximate size of areas to be cleaned, parking conditions, property access details, and any known issues such as heavy soiling, pet contamination or existing damage. Carpet Cleaning Pimlico is not liable for delays, additional charges or incomplete work arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Customer.

Access and Customer Obligations

The Customer must ensure that the Technician has safe, timely and reasonable access to the Premises at the agreed time. This includes arranging keys, entry codes, parking permissions and any necessary permits. Any parking charges, congestion charges or similar costs reasonably incurred in order to carry out the Services may be added to the Customer’s invoice.

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the Premises are in a condition suitable for cleaning. This may include moving light furniture and personal items from the areas to be cleaned, securing fragile objects, and ensuring that pets and children are kept away from the working area and equipment during the Service.

Where the Customer is unable or unwilling to move larger furniture or items, the Technician will use reasonable care to clean around such items but cannot guarantee full coverage of areas that are obstructed.

Quotations and Pricing

All quotations are provided in good faith based on the information supplied by the Customer and the standard pricing structure of Carpet Cleaning Pimlico. Quotes may be provided per room, per area, per item or on a time basis, as specified at the time of booking.

Carpet Cleaning Pimlico reserves the right to adjust the quote if, on arrival, the Premises or items to be cleaned differ significantly from the description provided, or where additional work is requested by the Customer. Any changes to price will be discussed with the Customer before proceeding where reasonably practicable.

All prices are provided inclusive or exclusive of VAT depending on the current VAT status of Carpet Cleaning Pimlico. The Customer will be informed of the applicable status at the time of quotation.

Payments and Invoicing

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment for the Services is due immediately upon completion of the work. Carpet Cleaning Pimlico may, at its discretion, request an advance payment or deposit to secure a booking, particularly for larger jobs or commercial contracts.

Accepted payment methods may include cash, bank transfer or card payment, subject to availability at the time of service. The specific payment options will be communicated to the Customer during the booking process.

For commercial Customers or account holders, alternative payment terms may be agreed in writing, such as payment within a specified number of days from the date of invoice. In the event of late payment, Carpet Cleaning Pimlico reserves the right to charge statutory interest and reasonable recovery costs in accordance with applicable UK law.

Cancellations, Rescheduling and No-Show

The Customer may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice to Carpet Cleaning Pimlico. Unless a different period is specified at the time of booking, the required notice period for standard bookings is 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

If the Customer cancels or reschedules with less than the required notice, Carpet Cleaning Pimlico reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee, which may be up to the full quoted price of the Services, to cover the loss of the allocated appointment time and associated costs.

If the Technician attends the Premises at the agreed time and is unable to gain access, or the work cannot be carried out for reasons within the Customer’s control, this may be treated as a late cancellation and the applicable fee may be charged.

Carpet Cleaning Pimlico may cancel or reschedule a booking due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as severe weather, illness, equipment failure or transport disruption. In such cases, the Customer will be offered an alternative appointment. Carpet Cleaning Pimlico will not be liable for any indirect losses arising from such cancellations or delays.

Health, Safety and Conduct

Carpet Cleaning Pimlico is committed to operating in a safe and professional manner. Technicians will use cleaning products and equipment appropriate to the task and in accordance with manufacturer instructions and relevant safety regulations.

The Customer must inform the Technician of any known hazards at the Premises, such as loose floor coverings, faulty electrical sockets, restricted ventilation, alarm systems, or any allergies or sensitivities that may be relevant to the use of certain cleaning agents.

Carpet Cleaning Pimlico reserves the right to withdraw its Technician from the Premises if conditions are deemed unsafe, unsanitary or otherwise unsuitable for the performance of the Services. In such circumstances, a reasonable call-out or cancellation fee may be charged.

Cleaning Results and Limitations

While Carpet Cleaning Pimlico will use reasonable skill and care, including industry-standard methods and professional detergents, results may vary depending on the condition, age and type of carpet or fabric, as well as previous staining, wear, and cleaning history.

Permanent stains, sun damage, discoloration, worn fibres, and certain types of contamination may not be fully removable. No guarantee is given that all stains or marks will be removed, although every reasonable effort will be made to achieve the best possible outcome.

The Customer acknowledges that some materials may react unpredictably to cleaning processes, particularly where manufacturer care labels have been removed or ignored, or where the item has previously been treated with unknown products. Carpet Cleaning Pimlico will not be liable for damage arising from inherent defects in the materials being cleaned.

Customer Inspection and Complaints

Where possible, the Customer should inspect the completed work with the Technician at the end of the appointment. Any immediately apparent concerns should be raised at that time so that Carpet Cleaning Pimlico can seek to address them on the spot where reasonable.

If the Customer wishes to make a complaint after the Technician has left, this should be done as soon as reasonably practicable, providing a clear description of the issue and any relevant evidence. Carpet Cleaning Pimlico will investigate the complaint and may, at its discretion, arrange a return visit to re-clean specific areas or offer another appropriate remedy.

Claims relating to alleged damage must be reported as soon as reasonably possible after discovery, and no later than a reasonable period following completion of the Services. The Customer must allow Carpet Cleaning Pimlico an opportunity to inspect any alleged damage before any repairs or replacements are undertaken, except in emergencies.

Liability and Insurance

Carpet Cleaning Pimlico carries appropriate insurance cover for its business activities, subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the relevant policies. Copies of insurance details can be made available upon reasonable request.

Carpet Cleaning Pimlico will not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, business interruption, or loss of value, arising from the performance or non-performance of the Services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carpet Cleaning Pimlico’s total aggregate liability to the Customer in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall be limited to the total price paid or payable by the Customer for the specific Services giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law.

Waste Handling and Environmental Compliance

Carpet Cleaning Pimlico operates in accordance with applicable UK waste and environmental regulations relating to the handling and disposal of waste water, used cleaning solutions, and any solid waste generated as part of the Services.

Where practicable, waste water from cleaning machines will be discharged via appropriate drainage systems at the Premises with the Customer’s consent, in line with local requirements. The Customer agrees to allow reasonable use of such facilities for this purpose unless specifically prohibited.

Any waste materials that must be removed from the Premises, such as contaminated extract or disposable materials, will be handled and disposed of by Carpet Cleaning Pimlico or its appointed waste management providers in accordance with applicable legislation and good environmental practice.

The Customer agrees not to request or require any method of disposal that would be contrary to relevant waste or environmental regulations, and acknowledges that Carpet Cleaning Pimlico may refuse such requests.

Use of Customer Data

Carpet Cleaning Pimlico will collect and use certain personal data from Customers, such as names, addresses and contact details, for the purposes of arranging and delivering the Services, handling payments and managing customer relationships.

Customer information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation in the United Kingdom and will not be sold to third parties. Data may be shared with trusted partners or service providers only to the extent necessary to deliver the Services or comply with legal obligations.

Force Majeure

Carpet Cleaning Pimlico will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms and Conditions where such failure or delay results from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to, extreme weather, fire, flood, acts of government or public authorities, pandemics, transport disruption, equipment failure not caused by lack of maintenance, or industrial disputes.

In such situations, Carpet Cleaning Pimlico will take reasonable steps to notify the Customer and to resume normal operations as soon as reasonably practicable.

Amendments to Terms and Conditions

Carpet Cleaning Pimlico may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in law, business practices or service offerings. The version in force at the time of booking will apply to that specific booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Customers are encouraged to review the latest version of the Terms and Conditions when making a booking for Services.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed deleted, but such deletion shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and Carpet Cleaning Pimlico in relation to the provision of the Services and supersede any prior understandings, representations or agreements, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter.

No variation of these Terms and Conditions shall be effective unless it is agreed in writing by Carpet Cleaning Pimlico.
